Hello friends & Welcome to Pittsboro Pet Supply
We're so happy you made it to our website and found interest in getting to know us a little better. Well, we are the Miller family and we are so blessed to be part of agriculture our entire lives. From growing up on farms, our first jobs of working in a feed store or driving semi-trucks with feed in them to now owning and expanding our store's. Both David & Christine purchased their first store in 1992 in a little town called Highland, Michigan called Highland Feed & Water. We owned & operated and our children grew up in that store until November of 2005 (our family friends still own that store to this day).
Michigan winters were just too much for us, so we packed up and moved to Pittsboro, NC, where we bought Pittsboro Farm & Garden. After a wonderful ten years, we decided to expand and opened Pittsboro Pet Supply in December 2015, right across the street. Then, in September 2025, we moved Pittsboro Farm & Garden to a new and bigger spot behind our small store and gave it a fresh name: Pittsboro Feed & General Store. We're so incredibly grateful for your continued support and for letting our family business be a part of your lives!
Meet the Miller Family
Having the three kids growing up in the store has been so much fun. Watching them grow up in the feed stores by riding their bicycles, assisting customers to their needs and learning many valuable lessons is why we do this. Our family has expanded from the three kids to now welcoming our two son/brother-in-laws and our grandchildren.

Meet the owner's, Josh & Allie Miller
Pittsboro Feed & Pittsboro Pet Supply are proudly owned and operated by Josh and Allie Miller. Josh grew up in the feed business, working alongside his parents, Christine and David, right here in Pittsboro. After years of managing day-to-day operations, he officially purchased Pittsboro Feed in January 2024, continuing the family legacy and guiding both stores into their next chapter of growth. When he isn’t helping customers or fine-tuning operations, Josh enjoys golfing, working on home projects, and spending time with Allie and their dogs. Allie brings creativity and connection to the stores as the friendly voice behind our social media. She shares everything from customer pet photos and product spotlights to barn and farm life fun. Josh and Allie got married on October 31, 2024, and when she’s not creating content or helping in the shops, Allie loves riding her horse Dixon, tending to her growing plant collection, reading, and spending time with the pups. Together, Josh and Allie are passionate about making Pittsboro Feed & Pittsboro Pet Supply more than just places to shop. Their mission is to create welcoming, community-centered stores that feel like home—for neighbors, families, and the animals we all love.
Meet Stella & Nova
- Stella (red dog): I was born in January of 2015 and came from Farm Friends Rescue in Chatham County, North Carolina. I am a lab, cattle dog mix. I love to come out and visit everyone's farm. Some of my favorite memories include driving across the country to the Hoover Dam and visiting the North Carolina mountains with my dad. You can find me hanging around Josh, sun-bathing in the yard or with anyone that has food. I love all the treats!
- Nova (black dog): I was born in September of 2021 to a friend in Pittsboro and I was the last of the litter to be adopted. I may be a tiny Australian cattle dog (blue heeler), but I love to play. I can keep going with the best of them and jump about six feet high. I also love the water, hanging around Josh, bothering my sister and definitely finding the person who has the treats!
